(PARTS) = PARTS ONLY

(DRAWINGS) - You can change a Break Line look by right clicking on the Break line and choose the type from the menu. Choose from Straight, Curved, Zig Zag and Small Zig Zag. - (10-23-07)

(PART, ASSSEMBLIES) - To add configurations in SolidWorks 2008 right click on a Feature, Sketch, dimension or combination of these and choose Configure Feature or Configure Dimension. - (10-22-07)

(PARTS) - In SolidWorks 2008 to exit a sketch just double click in the background. To edit just double click on the sketch. - (10-8-07)

(DRAWING) - To compare the difference between 2 versions of a drawing use the utility Drawing Compare for under Tools --> Drawing Compare. (10-2-07)

(ALL) - To add relations, no need to use the Add Releation button. Hold down CTRL and choose your releation selections. The Add Releation options will appear in the Feature Manager tree and the RMB context sensitive menu. - (10-1-07)

(ALL) - To dimension to the MIN or MAX of an arc hold down SHIFT while selecting the arcs near the MIN or MAX area. -(9-25-07)

(DRAWINGS) - To place a GD&T symbol on a dimention. Drag and drop the GD&T over the dimension. Make sure you look for the dim symbol before letting go. - (9-24-07)

(PARTS, ASSEMBLIES) - Hold down SHIFT and use the arrow keys to rotate the model 90 degrees. (9-20-07)

(PARTS, ASSEMBLIES) - Double middle mouse button click and hold a point, edge or face to rotate about that entitiy. - (9-19-07)

(ALL) - Use control and the middle mouse button to pan. (Do not scoll the wheel. Just push the button) - (9-18-07)

(ALL) - With a 3 button mouse with scroll. Set the mouse properties in Control Panel for middle mouse button from the default install choice to middle mouse button. This will allow for zoom in and out and rotate without having to use a toolbar button. - (9-17-07)

(ASSEMBLIES) - To speed up opening of assemblies Go to Tools --> Options --> Performance and put a check in the option "No Preview during open (faster). - (9-14-07)

(ASSEMBLIES) - While creating mates before you choose a first selection parts and assemblies can still be moved. - (9-13-07)
