All of us at one time or another need to make a drawing. Since SolidWorks 2010, we have the use of rapid dimensions. Other than just placing dimensions to the top, bottom, left, or right it also spaces them for us. The default offset spacing in SolidWorks may not be exactly what you're looking for. We have a choice of what the dimension offset values are. Just like any company we have her own set of standards that we can change them from within the options. To change the offset follow the these steps.
** The reason step one is for a blank drawing is so that when you are finished changing to your preferred values you may save the template and the values will show up on each new drawing. If this is only for one drawing for a special reason then do step one with an existing drawing.
